Transcript Request Procedures

Transcripts are released by the Kettering University Registrar's Office only when a signed request is submitted. The typical turnaround time is one business day from the time that the request is received. The student is responsible for supplying Kettering University with the correct address to which the transcript is to be sent. Also please note that any transcript sent directly to the student or a third party where a student is, will be stamped ISSUED TO STUDENT. Only students who have met all financial obligations to Kettering University will be issued a transcript. Transcripts are free of charge.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts are sent via US mail only. Official transcripts may be obtained by submitting a request containing the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number or Email Address
  • Address where transcript is to be sent
  • Student ID or social security number
  • Signature
You may also use the official transcript request form. When this request is complete, it may be submitted by mail to Kettering University Registrar's Office, 1700 West Third Ave., Flint, MI 48504-4898, or by fax to (810) 762-9836.

Unofficial Transcripts

Current students may access their unofficial transcript by accessing Banner Web. Unofficial transcripts may be picked up in the Registrar's Office, mailed, or faxed. If the transcript is being picked up by a current Kettering University student, a validated ID must be presented to obtain the transcript. If the transcript is being picked up by a third party that person must have written permission of student and present a valid picture ID (i.e. drivers license, military ID etc.). If the transcript is faxed, it will be stamped FAX TRANSCRIPT. Former students or current students having an unofficial transcript sent to a third party must submit a request containing the same information required for an official transcript
